When you have had a baby, caring for a newborn can leave you so exhausted that you don't feel like doing most things, especially working out. That means it's not likely that you'll go to the gym or even that you'll take to the outdoors to go for a walk or run. Plus, having a new baby means you need to be there for your child at all times. This means that you need to find both motivation and time to work out. The good news is that the three exercises below will give you the weight loss boost you need to get back to your pre-baby weight in record time, and you can do them all in the comfort of home while your baby is resting. What could be more convenient than that?
Drawing In: This is a great exercise for women who have just given birth because it helps them lose weight, helps their posture, makes their metabolism better and strengthens your core, abs and back all at once! To do this exercise, get down on all fours with your hands right under your shoulders. Then you pull in your abs while taking care to keep your neck and spine in a line. Breathe in through your nostrils while you keep your back straight and then, while pulling your navel up into your spine (while keeping the spine still) breathe back out. Do this twelve times and then do three sets of twelve to really work out your abs and your core. Arm Flutters: This is a great post-natal exercise that can be completed right next to your baby's crib. Simply lay down flat on your back and then put your legs up into the air while keeping them straight. Slightly lift your chest and abs off the ground while also lifting your arms (make sure to keep them straight). Slowly lower back down and completely for 20-50 times. This will make your core stronger and helps you to burn lots of calories. Doing this exercise three times each week will make the pounds drop off like magic!
